May/June 2006: 7th Anniversary Spectacular

Change is A-Comin'. Probably.

You better believe us when we tell you it's time for a change! Evilrobots.com is about to be tinkered with by the managing staff here at the headquarters. The vision, which is still somewhat fuzzy, is of a site which updates throughout the month with reviews, rants, recollections, ritualistic deconstruction, and really funny drawings. It'll be just as it is now, but with less lag-time between updates. (Or, it will not change at all, as summertime is a terrible time to set goals.)

One feature we will not add to the site is comments. We are totally against adding reader comment-threads to this wonderful vessel of my thoughts. Yeah, yeah, all the blogs have them, and it helps engage the people who read our content with each other as well as us, but so what? What we gain by opening the doors to you or anyone else's comments? We get nothin'! Furthermore, we don't care what the hell you think, to be totally honest.

Since it's inception, evilrobots.com has never been a website in search of the approval of it's adoring public. Sure, we like the praise and the commendation, but we are only interested in pleasing two people - each another. You might say that we are like two very bad parents, or greedy children, or slutty cousins, but such insults don't bother us. For nearly one quarter of a century, we each searched high and low for another loud, obnoxious jerk to form the perfect loud, obnoxious duo, and we have no intention of letting a bunch of morons on the internet get in the way of that. If you don't like it, go start evilrowbots.com and give us whatfor.

Secondly, blog comment-threads are dumb, and people don't really read them. Have you ever been on a blog? Their comments are all, like:

No! grrrr8Wisc is wrong about it all. (See my earlier post, "Get off my back") The reason the Senator voted for the resolution is because he was paid by the conglomerate.

Who communicates like that?

Keep your eyes peeled, people. The world is changing, and no one's gonna send you an email to let you know it's happened.
