Ted Leo Destroys Bad Charlotte

I can't even begin to tell you how bad the band good charlotte is. The fact that they claim some allegiance to the Washington DC area music scene is a fucking travesty. I know and love tons of bands from Washington - they are not from here. And anyway, we don't want them.

First, none of them knew how to play music up until they decided to become a band. That's a problem.

Second, they are from Annapolis, or more likely a white boy suburb of that suburban city. That's a problem.

Third, I have never heard their music, but I know that they suck…come on they have to.

I would quote at length from their website, but its just not worth it. Its terrible too.

I will spend a few minutes speaking on the current numero uno rocker in Washington, DC via New Jersey - the man who put out a 7" called 'The Guns of Meridian Hill" one Mr. Ted Leo. Mr. Leo makes rock records, and plays rock shows. Good ones, where people don't thrash about like idiots hurting each other and themselves but enjoy the music, because the music is to be enjoyed and it is for all to enjoy.

Mr. Leo's new record, on the 'indie' label Lookout! Records is called "hearts of oak" and is a damn sight better than good charlotte, who, I will remind you, didn't know how to play guitars or 'sing a note' (website quote) until they got the bright idea to form a band. This is the problem with music today, too many white people with ideas.
