Sambot's Random 10
All Shuffled Up

My brother, Godzilla, asked me to write an article about 10 random
song my MP3 player played, when I did this, in computer science
class because I was bored, my player was on a roll. I came home
that day and put all of the songs into a play list, it's an awesome
list. So here you go, enjoy.
1. My first song on my kick ass list of songs is "Move
On Up" by Curtis Mayfield. I LOVE this song; it's possibly
the best song to ride my bike to ever made. Its motivating, has
a fast and awesome beat to it, what more could you want from a song?
To top it all off, it has a very good horn section, which being
a trombone player is always a nice addition to a song.
2. I just discovered my next song when listening to my MP3 player
in computer science class, its called "I Want to Help You
Ann" by the Lyres. I have come to like this song very much,
it has a good beat, good lyrics and it sounds a little like the
Clash, which is one of my favorite bands of all time. This song
also has a good guitar solo it's not over done at all. Great sunny
day kind of song if you ask me.
3. FU MANCHU, by Desmond Dekker & the Aces, my absolute
favorite reggae song ever! It has the one of the best base lines
in a song and the organ it PERFECT. The vocals are excellent, it
just screams summer time and its one march, this song is making
my crazy for summer to come. If you don't own this song, you should
be shot. Everyone GET THIS SONG!!!!!!!!! It is a must in a good
music library.
4. Some one please call me the "Sandman", I love
this song by America. If you have never heard this song,
SHAME on you. It is one of the best sit inside on a rainy day and
chill songs. This song is a bit spacey sounding, but it is truly
a great song. How can you not relax to this song?
5. Flaming Lips anyone? Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
pt. 1 is my favorite song by the Flaming Lips. 1. It has robots.
2. It has the craziest beat that I've ever heard. In this song,
Yoshimi beats the shit out of some robots, pink robots mind you.
6. I have recently discovered a group called Iron & Wine,
they are AWESOME, I love the feel that they have. Most of it is
very mellow and calm. The song my MP3 player choose for me is called
"Dead Man's Will", I can not say enough how much
I like this song, its another great calm down and relax kind of
song. If you have never heard this song before, find it and listen
to it, you'll love it.
7. My favorite funk group, Earth, Wind, and Fire, came up
on my list of songs, and boy was I happy. I love funk music, mainly
for the great horn sections and the good mood that can be found
from them. "That's the Way of the World" was the
song that came up, it is one of my favorite by them its mellow and
has excellent lyrics.
8. John Lennon, one of the greatest song writers of all
time wrote a song called "Love", this song is a
little on the depressing side but it is still a very good song.
I love the piano in it, there aren't enough songs with a good piano
line in it any more. This song is true to its name, it is all about
what love is. I have never heard this song before a few days ago
but I like it a lot. It's a deep song, and I love that about a song
its not just a song about how someone likes to fuck their lover,
its about what love really is.
9. "Mammal" by TMBG is one of the coolest songs
I've heard in a long time. It has a good beat and a bass line that
mimics one of a tuba in a way. I have found that this song has almost
no deep meaning to it, but it's a good song to bike to or just listen
to and enjoy.
10. I saved the best for last; this is my favorite song right now.
I LOVE THIS SONG! It's "Falling For the First Time"
by the Bare-naked Ladies. This song is like my theme song; the
lyrics pretty much describe how I feel most of the time. This song
has a very good drumbeat and guitar to it. Its fast, which means
it, would be great to bike to.
