Bigfoot's Veggie Dog Salad

Ingredients

2 or 3 vegetarian hot dogs
1 head red leaf lettuce
a few carrots

for the dressing:
mayo
ketchup
relish
mustard
beer

Preparation

  1. Finely slice lettuce into chiffonade. Place in serving bowl.
  2. Use vegetable peeler to make carrot shavings. Add to lettuce.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine mayo, ketchup, relish, and mustard to taste. Add beer as needed to thin the condiment mixture into a nice dressing consistency.
  4. Before cooking hot dogs (preferably while hot dogs are not fully thawed), use a vegetable peeler to make hot dog shavings.
  5. Lightly spray skillet with oil. Heat on medium. Add hot dog shavings. Cook until shavings begin to brown & frizzle.
  6. Add hot dog shavings to serving bowl. Mix in dressing to taste.
