On TV
On The Tube

I planned to bore you all with my thoughts about Fox's crappy baseball
play-by-play coverage team, Steve Lyons and Tom Brenneman. I did
because they are sucky. My plan, however, was cut short when I heard
the news that one of my favorite shows, Off Centre, was cancelled
by the WB.
I am wicked pissed off.
Canceling Off Centre is the world's way of telling me that my opinion
does not count. You see, no one takes the time to write me to say
that I suck, but the geniuses at the WB decide to do so by canceling
my favorite show. You think I'm paranoid? Really? A few good people
whip together a funny comedy for a bad network, then the network
puts it in TWO bad time slots, and then are surprised that nobody
sees it? I felt from the beginning that the network secretly wanted
the show to fail. Their executives probably get paid well for poor
ratings.
You people know that I am not a real TV columnist. I don't watch
ABC, CBS, or NBC. I like to watch FOX, MTV, E!, and, until the other
day, the WB. I don't have any institutional memory, and some people
think I am too smart for the TV-reviewer racket, but I try anyway.
I hope you can excuse me for being hurt this month. I guess life
is unfair, and I am just now finding out how unfair it can be.
