On The Tube:
The Friends and The Factor:
A trio who love each other; A man who dissents for
America.
I am a Sports Center guy. At least I think I am. But I have
not watched ESPN in months because I have found a replacement for
the cute lingo and silly commercials. The Fox'News' Network (I write
'News' because they don't actually report anything) has two shows
which are far beyond anything the rest of the TV world can offer.
I am speaking of the morning phenomenon Fox and Friends and the
fresh and feisty O'Reilly Factor.
F+F follows the old morning show format; friendly people
sharing stories and opinions for the good of their audience. But
E.D., Brian and Steve take the format beyond the stars. E.D. is
a foxy single mom who wears leather boots and short skirts. Brian
and Steve are the men (one blonde, one brunette) who feed off E.D.'s
vibe and make magic in the morning.
Every morning you can expect short commercial breaks, short
news breaks, and great interviews. Steve, the comedian, does man-on-the-street
interviews, and one day tried to find out what froze faster, coffee
or orange juice. So funny! Brian is far more serious than E.D. and
Steve, but because this is F+F, that means he is seriously fun!
E.D. is not the only woman, Fox'News' anchor Lauren is a
regular member of the F+F laugh-a-bout. She is also a fox who can
give us allot in a short skirt and heels.
While it is not fair of me to leave you hanging like this,
I think you need to watch the show to understand what I mean. F+F
airs weekday mornings from 7-9. Just watch it! But be careful, it's
habit forming.

The O'Reilly Factor is the one of the greatest self-titled
programs in the history of television journalism. The Factor combines
hard hitting investigative journalism with even harder hitting cross
examination of today's headliners. The Factor is the only show which
exemplifies the Fox'News' mantra, "we report, you decide."
While no sane person would rely on the Fox'News' network
for reliable and objective reporting, no thinking person would rely
on anyone else but O'Reilly Factor for a fair assessment of the
news and the newsmakers. O'Reilly Factor interviews a broad scope
of intelligent people and puts their beliefs to the test. In the
end, one is left with the ability to objectively decide on their
own opinion.
At the end of every show O'Reilly Factor reads his viewer
mail and is accused of being too conservative and too liberal. While
it is not right to judge him by his hand-picked viewer mail, it
is clear that O'Reilly Factor is not interested in his own opinion,
only the veracity of the claims of others. O'Reilly Factor is the
only man in television who is beyond reproach.
After years of Barbara Walters, Larry King, and the gang
from 60 Minutes, it is refreshing to know that a man is on the job
five nights a weeks keeping it real for the thinking man. Fox'News'
would be doing itself a favor if it changed to the "All O'Reilly,
all the time Channel." That is, all but 7-9am.
