Grandpa on TV

On The Tube

Yet another month goes by and Fox and Friends just keeps getting better. Honestly. This show is wonderful. I must have talked to or received e-mail from hundreds of my readers who did not know the show existed. Many thought that I was making it up. Not at all. F+F is the only morning show to watch. Just ask the people of San Diego, who have recently picked up the Fox'News' Channel, they will tell you that F+F has rearranged their morning schedules. The big-three are going down!

Screw Titus.

Seriously. Why is Fox always trying to kill my brain? Sure, this no-name comic is funny, but not TV funny. He belongs on AM radio, not national TV. The only redeeming quality of the show is that a male actor named Stacie is on it, otherwise the show is a stink-soup. Maybe what Fox should do is capitalize on its two highest rated shows, Malcolm in the Middle and The Simpsons, and give up on crap like Titus. It's not funny, people!

Just a short note about O'Reilly Factor. Mr. Factor looked great on his live show from San Diego. He should always do the show in a tux. O'Reilly is evidence that Fox is not run by total morons. We have hope for Fox, if only a little bit. Also, for those scoring from home, while The Factor is not beating Larry "May I kiss that?" King, he remains better looking and smarter, so there!

The Gap Kids have finally lost it. They managed to take the music from West Side Story and use it to advertise their pants. While I will never argue with dancing women in form-fitting, butt-huggin', pants, I think The Kids are no longer boldly redefining the time we spend between TV segments. While the retro-hipsters love swing and mambo and Frank, their 'Gen-X' sensibilities are challenged by not only the politically charged message of Story, but since nobody was smoking cigarettes OR talking with Lou Bega, the sale may not have been made. Sure, Gap will sell their pants, but at what cost?

Futurama remains stuck in the terrible 7pm Sunday slot of death. Please call your local Fox station and demand a change. This aggression will not stand!

The quiz show on ABC, Who wants to be a Millionaire?, is wonderful. In fact, I would say that the wonderful world of Millionaire is in need of some expansion. The producers need to take their enormous brains across the cable box and kick some sense into the Game Show Network. What is with these people? Their programming is inane and their schedule is mystifying. Maybe ABC and Nick at Night should go to work on them. Someone with at least half a brain should be driving this train.
