Future-Three: I Have Also Been Thinking About
the Future

The year 2003 (also known as Future-Three) proves to be a year
of change for me. A right-winger got elected to run my state. Of
course, this not only pissed me off as a far left progressive but
it also made my husband lose his job. Those capitalist bastards
(i.e. republicans) are gonna pay.
When Lich-Ehr got elected, my first thought was "Flee! Flee
right away." Living under a Republican is never fun
unless
you're rich & trying to evade paying taxes. But, against my
better judgment, Grandpa and I are still here. Just like we're still
here even though Bush took office. Maybe we're gluttons for punishment;
maybe we just can't let the righties take over without some opposition.
So, aside from grumbling to the TeeVee or to area newspaper boxes,
what am I doing in Future-Three?
Knitting - so far I've finished 8 scarves, a pair of socks, and
a pair of baby booties for a future astronaut. Soon to come
a
sweater, some hats, and more socks
Protesting shit - see commentary on Iraq protest
Reading things that make me irate, followed by something that will
help me chill
Staging a comeback for Bigfoot at Evil Robots. Wait. Take that
back. Don't call it a comeback, I been here for years
.
