Juvenile Court Censured for Immature Decision
CLEVELAND, OH--In an historic 9-0 ruling the U.S. Supreme Court
not only overruled a lower court (in this case the Cuyahoga County,
OH Juvenile Court) but also censured the court for rendering such
an immature decision.
In the case Anderson vs. Cuyahoga County Board of Education, the
juvenile court ruled that an hour-long game of "Painful Fart
Noises" was "funny". In his decision, Judge Fryar
added, "Farts are funny. And it sounds like it hurts."
The Supreme Court ruled that such a ruling was, "an affront
to the criminal justice system, " and "just disgusting"
as a condition of the censure the juvenile court has been sent to
it's room, and told that it should think of others before acting
out. "Does the juvenile court think this is funny? Well it's
not. If the court acts up again, this court will show the juvenile
court something pretty funny. As it is the juvenile court won't
be allowed to play with the other juvenile courts. Now it's not
so funny, is it?"
When reached for comment a spokesperson for the juvenile court
responded with a brief statement and then refused to answer questions.
"I don't care! You can't make me!", said the court as
it stomped away.
